The single biggest mistake new affiliates make is to create a lot of work for themselves in order to promote the product they chose. But, it’s not  necessary. It’s much easier, and in the long-term more profitable, to set up  your marketing campaign to deliver what’s called “passive income.” In case you are not aware, passive income simply means that once you’ve set  up your campaign, it is automated enough that you can pretty much leave it alone.

Any affiliate marketer knows that in order to promote your products, you need to set up a website called a “squeeze page.” This allows you to collect the names and email addresses of those who visit your site, which creates your list of targeted leads for your main product line. A targeted lead means that you know that person is at least interested in what you have to say about that subject. From that list of targeted leads, you have a captive audience whom you know is looking for the types of products you  are selling. A common fact in sales is that on average, a potential customer
